Product Overview
The 222nm UV lamp (also known as filtered 222nm Far-UVC lamp or 222nm excimer UV lamp) represents the next generation of safe germicidal UV light technology. It provides powerful air and surface disinfection while remaining safe for human exposure in occupied spaces. Utilizing krypton chloride (KrCl) excimer technology with a precision narrowband filter, it emits pure 222nm Far-UVC light to effectively inactivate pathogens without damaging human skin or eyes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 222nm UV light really safe for humans?
Yes. Unlike traditional 254nm UV light, 222nm Far-UVC light has a very short range in biological tissue. It cannot penetrate the outer dead-cell layer (stratum corneum) of human skin or the tear layer of the eye, making it safe for use in occupied rooms.
What pathogens can this lamp inactivate?
This lamp achieves a 99.99% inactivation rate against a wide range of pathogens, including coronaviruses, influenza, MRSA, E. coli, as well as various spores and molds.
Why is a "filter" necessary for a 222nm lamp?
Krypton Chloride excimer lamps naturally emit some secondary wavelengths (like 235nm or 254nm) that are harmful to humans. Our patented bandpass filter blocks these unwanted wavelengths, ensuring only pure, safe 222nm light is emitted.
How long does the lamp last?
The lamp features a long service life, typically ranging between 8,000 to 10,000 hours, depending on the specific operating environment and usage patterns.
Does this device produce ozone?
Our 222nm KrCl technology is designed for low ozone production, making it much more environmentally friendly and safer for indoor air quality than many traditional UV systems.
Can it be used for continuous 24/7 disinfection?
Absolutely. Because it is safe for human exposure, it is ideal for continuous disinfection in high-traffic areas like hospitals, schools, and offices while people are present.
